The SENSORIUM Saxophone Orchestra will inflict yet another one of their formidable sets of saxual timbre ferocity. This is a CDRelease Party for CLOUD ELEVEN; a definitive mix of Demos and Live concerts between 2009 and 2011, which includes their Top 40 hit Glow White considered to sound like "...a haunting dissonant swoon like that of battling church organs, or a swarm of bugs."
Christopher Weingarten, Village Voice 2009.

Glow White was specifically composed for Glenn Branca's "The Search for the Lost Chord Contest" in 2007. It is based on a handful of guitar tri-chords Miller enjoyed as a teenager. It was the first piece Miller composed for saxophone orchestra ending up as one of eleven compositions posted on Glenn's New York Times blog site.

Aside from performing a number of pieces from CLOUD 11, Terry Riley's "In C" will also be heard this evening.

ANOMONOUS [Denman Maroney: hyperpiano, Josh Sinton: electrified contra-bass clarinette, Ben Miller: tapes, voice] presents their first live performance since their May 2013 CDR self titled release on Prom Night Records.

“As rugged as it is spare, the music of Anomonous often aligns itself with the confounding blends of MEV or AMM rather than anything in the traditional ‘creative music’ arc. Warbling, woody breath combines with warped piano-guts scrapes and icy melodic fragments from Maroney’s keyboard while a range of sampled and mixed sounds give a ghostly and unsettled sheen to the proceedings…. At times it can be difficult to discern what sonic imprints come from reeds and what come from electronics, as feedback and indeterminate glitches attach themselves to both Sinton and Miller, though the latter tends toward unsightly patchwork and ear-splitting harmonics.”
_ Clifford Allen, New York City Jazz Record July 2013

The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in association with The Kymara Gallery presents Pulled Pork: Unseen Images from Warhol's Only Play, a solo photography exhibition by Leee Black Childers, curated by Kymara Lonergan and Oliver Klaassen. Pork, and its cast and crew from The Ridiculous Theater Company, were influential in the subsequent evolution of glitter, glam, and punk rock music. Included in this exhibition are over 40 of Childers' dramatic, unseen images of the performance and stage. Childers, a vital character of the New York underground, captured the rock 'n' roll antics of the 60s and 70s and was a member of Andy Warhol's entourage of creative associates.
